Ann-Maree's Flourish layout!

Here is another of the layouts from the scrapbook challenge workshop. Isn't it beautiful? I just love the colour combos. Here, Ann-Maree has used the Merry Christmas flourish paper and oatmeal for the base. She has used olive pastel fluid chalk for the flourish stamps. She has also stamped the scallop along the edge of the paper using ancient page chocolate. She then used a border rub on to create the row of butterflies - just beautiful. She chose some chipboard daisies and smooched them with gold to add some dimension as well as a few other additions using punches, flowers and I think , stickers? A very classic, clean line look. Well done Ann- Maree! Next I'll upload something of my own again!

Nicole's layout....Bella beautiful!

I've been away for a while, so wasn't able to post the other girls' layouts. This beautiful pack was adapted and made beautiful by Nicole. Simply stunning!! Of course the pretty little one does make it too! In this layout, Nicole used Bella papers, rubons, daisy and retro daisy punches and ribbon. You may be wondering where the ribbon is, well, she created a striped effect on the pink bazzill by using black stitch ribbon, white grosgrain and white mini rick rack. It's a great idea, especially when you want striped paper as Nicole did and needed to then improvise to create the striped look. Very clever! She also used Ancient page chocolate and a sponge to create an aged look around the papers. Well done for rising to the challenge, Nicole and create a beautiful layout.

Gelati Scrapbook Challenge...By Karen Ryan

Isn't this lovely? Today I had a workshop with my lovely loyal customer/friends. They wanted to do something a little different sooooo, we came up with the idea of having a scrapbook challenge. Each person got a pack with different papers/cardstock/rubons/cutouts etc and had an assortment of inks/stamps/punches etc to work with. Their challenge was to put something together with what they had!! They all did such a great job that I asked if they could finish them by adding photos and sending them through so I could blog them. This one was done by Karen. She had the Gelati range of papers, fussy bazzill, and the large and small dragonfly. These were stamped in the inks that co-ordinated--Fluid chalk pink pastel, olive pastel, tangerine and yellow cadium. She used dotty words behind the dragonfly strip and edged the white pieces in tangerine and orchid pastel. She raised some dragonflies and put icestickles on them to give them a beautiful sparkle. A great job Karen.

E for Erin scrapbook page.

Sorry, this photo is pretty shoddy!! I used Azure paper and fawn bazzill as the base. I stamped a flower from the treasured memories set using prussian blue ink onto the background. It obviously has punched daisies which have been edged with brown chalk ink and finished off with either a rhinestone or some gold smooch. The Large E has been coloured using paint dabber - expresso and backed with ivory card. I think that's all!!

Oh, by the way, I'm trialling a different kind of workshop next Monday at a friend/customer's home. It's called Scrapbook challenge. No photos are required but you come along and get products to be able to make a double page layout , you get suggested page layouts and if you're really stuck, I'll actually help you a little by giving you some inspiration!! It's kind of like Masterchef, but we'll call it "Mastercrafter"!!! I"ll see if they'll let me take photos of their finished work so I can publish it right here!! More later.

Spellbinders experiment.

During the week, I received some nestabilities as a gift from my sister,Di. I was so excited and so decided to experiment! Granted, it's a very simple card, but I'm just getting warmed up!! I used gloss card for the base and used the spotty cuttlebug die, as well as 2 different sizes of nestabilities and a spellbinders die for the flower. I inked the flower and gave it a bit of shape and then inked the plain organdy ribbon to create pink ribbon and layered some purple organdy ribbon on top. Add a bit of bling and voila! Done.

Scrapbook layout on Steve

On the weekend, I had such a great time scrapbooking! I have this book, 601 scrapbooking ideas, so I decided to post-it note pages that I liked and then set myself the challenge of making them all with Kaszazz products. It was great fun. I hadn't done a page on my brother in law Steve, so hence the page!! This also happened as I was looking for photos, these two just fell out and matched perfectly, so obviously meant to be!! The swirl cardstock is java bazzill with a white swirl stamp inked onto it. The paper used is enchanted , and the ribbon on the bottom of the page is stapled into position. The letters were inked with fluid chalk, chestnut roan and the photomats were edged with this as well. Such a fun page.
If you're up for a challenge, I'd love it if you would like to copy this layout and share your designs with me. They don't have to be Kaszazz products. I'll post them here for all to see!! Just send them to my email and I'll see what I can do.. Have fun!!
