Circle of Life Page n Card

On our retreat weekend away, each of us created something for the others to make. This was designed by Monica. I think it's just gorgeous. Her challenge was butter and Mint SB essentials, Jasmine Lee SB foundations paper and the stamp 4380KJ- Adorable friends. Out of those products, Mon came up with this layout and added a few extra things that she wanted. The flowers are a wonderful blend of circles, daisies with their petals rounded and silk daisies. These are either topped with a gold fastener or a rhinestone. It is such a fun blend of colours and designs- Thanks Mon for designing this layout for us!! Great work.

Emily Rose Ribbons and Bows workshop...

I just love this workshop! It's using one of our new SB Foundations papers called "Emily Rose", hence the name! I like this one not only because it looks good, but there are a few techniques in this workshop that you may not always use in your cardmaking. There's fancy ribbon work, perforations of card, tear off bookmark, gift holder and punching. If you also just love it, please give me a call and book in your workshop. If you want to run it from my home, not a problem, just express an interest and day or night preference and I'll see what I can do.

Princess layout workshop

This layout is a workshop that kaszazz offer. It is using the kaszazz rub ons. They are awesome. They differ from some of the regular rubons in that they are quite solid and clear. They are not flimsy, is what I"m trying to say!! This layout uses some paper from our SB foundations range , which is a new release. If you've not had much experience with rubons before, then this is a workshop not to be missed. It will teach you all you need to know about them and give you valuable experience using them.
 I hope you're having a creative week, I'm off to tidy my craft area, yet again!!!

Something a little different...

Recently I received a beautiful big box of card making kits and bag toppers from a subscription renewal.

It was Meagan's birthday, so I decided to make her a card from this box and a bag topper. It was so superbly easy and I had so much fun doing it. It really is fun to make cards from a kit sometimes- it just takes off the pressure and allows you to enjoy. Well I hope you enjoy this pic and feel inspired to break open one of your card making kits and have fun creating!!!

My October page!!

Told you I was going to get busy on my October page. Well, I got all inspired from our newest range of SB Foundations paper. It is absolutely gorgeous- you've just got to try it. Anyway, this page is totally Kaszazz, so I'll talk you through it seeing as I know all the papers and products! This paper is called Cyan Jade and has blue hues on the opposite side. I used some of our new colour rubons called Magic moments, which gives it a stamped on look without stamping! I stamped the butterfly from the Doodle designs bugs set and then punched it out using our butterfly punch. (it fits perfectly!) I used orchid pastel to put some colour around the butterflies using a blending tool. The flower was taken from what Jo Collingwood came up with at the paperific show. The flower is made using the 3 size scallop punches and although you can't see it here, it's been distressed and the paper split, so it looks really good! The leaves were made using our Ezy-press die cutting and embossing machine. The leaf dies are part of a set called 'box #6' .  Around the edges of the paper I used the acrylic paint dabber, hazelnut , and then finished off the edging with dark brown chalk ink.

Christmas cards from Team Training day!

I had to make some samples for Team training day in September and these are what I came up with. The Santa one is quite ordinary, I painted the image using the Lyra crayons and used some gold smooch in a few places. In the reindeer one, I just love the new reindeer punch as well as the snowflake- beautiful. In that one, I embossed the snowflake stamp, white, then , using the blender tools and broken china , dusty concord distress inks, I blended the background. I loved the contrast of the black against the background. I punched out a circle and distressed that to pop behind the reindeers head. The ribbon and snowflake were the finishing touches.

September Page....

Finally! I have completed my September calendar page almost in time for October!! I"m going to get working on October tomorrow- you'll see, it's going to be great!

Anyway, this page was actually started quite a while ago. I have a great love for Stampin up papers as well as Creative memory pages! I know I'm not supposed to, but, I just do. Anyway, I can't tell you which papers they are, but they do co-ordinate really well. The paper flower was a labour of love- encouraged by my friend Jude who really wanted it on the page! Anyway, it does look right there. For the flower, all you have to do is hand draw some concentric circles on the back of your paper. Then you get tearing. That's the fun part (I'm being sarcastic.). The end result is something beautiful, but you might need alcohol to get there.

Ezy-Press Handbag

I received my Ezy-Press machine during the week , leading up to Team Training Day. I naturally had to make some samples for consultants to see. This handbag and flower design is from one of the dies you can buy. In the die pack comes heaps of designs and therefore a multitude of uses for it. I will be working on some more designs during the week on this particular die to give you more ideas.

Now onto the Ezy-Press! This is a fantastic die-cutting and embossing machine. It is by far, one of the easiest machines I have ever used! There is very little effort required to get the dies through, so it is especially great for those with weaker hand/arm strength. We have a great range of dies and embossing folders, so there is something for everyone. I'm guessing that at most of our future launches there will be more dies released! The good news is that cuttlebug/sizzix/nestabilites dies are all compatible with this machine! It really is great value as the plates that come with it go up to A4 size, and some of our dies do too! Great for scrapbooking.

The new product flyer will be up online by the close of business on Monday, but if you CAN'T WAIT......... drop me a line, and I'll send you an email version for you to look at!!!

August Calendar page- Remember

For this layout, of the 2 moms/ grans of the family, I used Ebony and ivory paper range on the bottom and the dots are from the Merry Christmas range. I absolutely love our new large fabric daisies and this maroon one is just so rich and beautiful. I paired it up with the pomegranate SB essentials cardstock and a smidge of ivory card.I used the scallop circle punch to highlight the flowers in either black or pomegranate. Accents were added from the Sticky Bling flourish pack.

Di's Birthday Card- cute teddy...

Here's another Tri-fold card! I made this for my sister's birthday. She's very partial to cute stamps and teddies. The teddy stamp and punches are Kaszazz. I coloured the teddy using copics that Di gave me. They are awesome for creating a beautiful shading effect. I used some shimmer cardstock that has been retired from Kaszazz but I had some of. I CB the paper to create that lovely texture. I used the scallop punch for the base of the card - layered always looks good. In each scallop, I put some little sticky bling. The rest is quite self explanatory. The only hint I have when making cards like this, is, use magic mount for the front(scallop) section so the card resists moving forward.

These cards are really fun to make. All you do is,with the card in a landscape position, score about 1 " on the right side of the white card, fold it on the score. Then fold the actual card to the 1" score line. Have a second piece ready, size 3 .5" by width of card. Adhere to the 1"fold.
