Sorry, this photo is pretty shoddy!! I used Azure paper and fawn bazzill as the base. I stamped a flower from the treasured memories set using prussian blue ink onto the background. It obviously has punched daisies which have been edged with brown chalk ink and finished off with either a rhinestone or some gold smooch. The Large E has been coloured using paint dabber - expresso and backed with ivory card. I think that's all!!

Oh, by the way, I'm trialling a different kind of workshop next Monday at a friend/customer's home. It's called Scrapbook challenge. No photos are required but you come along and get products to be able to make a double page layout , you get suggested page layouts and if you're really stuck, I'll actually help you a little by giving you some inspiration!! It's kind of like Masterchef, but we'll call it "Mastercrafter"!!! I"ll see if they'll let me take photos of their finished work so I can publish it right here!! More later.

Spellbinders experiment.

During the week, I received some nestabilities as a gift from my sister,Di. I was so excited and so decided to experiment! Granted, it's a very simple card, but I'm just getting warmed up!! I used gloss card for the base and used the spotty cuttlebug die, as well as 2 different sizes of nestabilities and a spellbinders die for the flower. I inked the flower and gave it a bit of shape and then inked the plain organdy ribbon to create pink ribbon and layered some purple organdy ribbon on top. Add a bit of bling and voila! Done.

Scrapbook layout on Steve

On the weekend, I had such a great time scrapbooking! I have this book, 601 scrapbooking ideas, so I decided to post-it note pages that I liked and then set myself the challenge of making them all with Kaszazz products. It was great fun. I hadn't done a page on my brother in law Steve, so hence the page!! This also happened as I was looking for photos, these two just fell out and matched perfectly, so obviously meant to be!! The swirl cardstock is java bazzill with a white swirl stamp inked onto it. The paper used is enchanted , and the ribbon on the bottom of the page is stapled into position. The letters were inked with fluid chalk, chestnut roan and the photomats were edged with this as well. Such a fun page.

More Christmas Creations!!

Promise, I'll put something other than Christmas up again soon!! The top card was inspired by a fellow consultant who's name escapes me. The squares are from the ebony and ivory stamps set. The squares were embossed using the "wine" embossing powder and the ink used was once again Aged mahogany distress ink.

The second card has a white layered look. The cuttlebug was obviously used here for the white background as well as the baubles. The baubles have been coloured using the Fired brick distress ink and the blending tool (love that tool!). The sticky bling flourish has been used for the sparkly string and the "merry Christmas" words are from our mini messages Christmas set. The mini messages are fantastic as they have about 8 different sayings (sets are birthdays or Christmas) and they only cost $15 !! Bargin. Right, I"m off to make something that is NOT Christmas, although, I've just made a 5 projects quick workshop - Christmas cards that's actually quite nice. I might have to post that- it's a current Kaszazz workshop. I'll keep you posted.

Christmas pamper box.

This year, I'm making the teachers a pamper pack! It will contain aromatherapy products - destress roll on, lip balm, choccies, soap and a beeswax essential oil candle- all made by me!! I decided to decorate a noodle box to house all the goodies, so this is my idea. I just traced around the box to get the size of paper and stuck it down. I punched the large and medium circles out of embossed card to create baubles. These are mounted. I also wrapped the ribbon around the wire handle - a little time consuming, but, all fun!!! The paper is once again from the "merry christmas" range.

Christmas cards

I ran a Christmas workshop today, so made up some cards for some loyal customers. I used our 'Merry Christmas' range of papers, as well as sticky bling flourish, ribbon, daisy punch and stamps. The ink that I used here that goes really well with a maroon coloured paper is -aged mahogany. I had a great time using the cuttlebug today, even though we don't sell it, it's a great asset to creating.

Wonderful Waterfall album.

A customer booked in the waterfall workshop but wanted some other techniques encorporated. So, in this workshop, I've used the blending tools, distress inks and jeweltone chalks to create a background as well as the dragonflies. If you've not seen this waterfall album before, it is a fantastic one to make for family or friends as it is really quite quick and easy, once you know how! When you do the workshop, you get full instructions and also instructions on how to make a smaller version for a card. I've done one for the other 2 children so thought I'd better complete it and do a 3rd one, so no-one would feel left out!

Sunshine Fun...Layout.

Yay, I'm back!! I finally sourced another camera from one of the kids and now I can retrieve photos. These layouts are actually a Kaszazz workshop that I'm going to be running next week. The original has never been chosen by my customers and I suspect it's because it's in red, blue and yellow. I thought these colours were more peaceful. The single photo on the left page actually opens out to reveal more photos, so it's a great one to do when you've got quite a few photos that you want to put in a layout. The thong image along the bottom is actually a stamp - really fun and versatile for beachy photos or cards. The words are from one of our sheets of vellum. The vellum is so versatile and useful. Check out our vellum as there are so many quotes and words that can be used in layouts! Enjoy.

Concertina Card carrier...

Today I've been having a bit of fun making this card carrier. It was originally called Accordion File purse. I found it on this blog: www.stampininspirations.blogspot.com . Maria has the tutorial for it, just bear in mind, I altered it to fit cards. The dimensions of it were smaller, but I wanted to make is so that you can store cards in. I made it so it's width is 9.5" and height 5". I did take other photos, but am having a little trouble with uploading them to my computer. I'll post more when I've sorted the problem. I also need to grab some velco dots to secure it properly! Once you work it out, it's actually quite quick to make.

New product challenge!!

I've been away for a while, sorry to my loyal followers! I'm back. I set myself a challenge today. I wanted to use some of the newer products that we have. In the card above, I used the design adhesive called Daisy daze. It is the large central daisy. I love the design adhesives, they can be used as a row, like the rollagraph or as singles. They can be embossed onto or glittered. I also used sticky bling flourish and double sided sticker paper on this card. The striped paper is from the "my girl" range. If you'd like to check out the design adhesives, go to www.kaszazz.com and click on the products. They can be found in the July and Sept flyers, as well as some great new glitters. Just a tip, when using glitters onto cardstock, to prevent glitter from sticking everywhere, dust over the area with your puff static pillow first. This will minimize the spread of glitter!!
On the weekend, I had a great chat to my sister, Di. I had a layout in mind, but no photo, so I naturally decided to dedicate it to my sister. In this layout, I used paper from the Merry Christmas range as well as the Ebony and Ivory range. I, in keeping with my challenge, used rubons (relatively new) and chipboard popouts. I also used a product called 'smooch' that we sell. I just love the gold one in particular. I also stamped the scallop edge around the paper. Now, I know I sell Kaszazz stuff, but I've got to say, the rub ons from Kaszazz are really good. I've used many different ones and you get some really inferior products, however, the Kaszazz rub ons are top quality and easy to apply.
